Ingredients

1 1/2 kg pork belly
10 pcs duck egg
4 pcs shallot
1 tsp garlic minced
5 pcs chili
4 tbsp fish sauce
1/2 tsp caramel sauce
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp seasoning powder
3 tbsp cooking oil

Preparation 1

Wash and clean pork bellies, let dry, chop into cubic-shaped, 4-5-cm long pieces.

Marinate the pork with 2 tbsp fish sauce, seasoning powder, ½ tsp sugar. Let the ingredients absorb.

Preparation 2

Slice shallots into small pieces like picture above.

Boil duck eggs (you can use chicken eggs if duck eggs are not available), peel off the shell, and cut into halves.

Frying

Pan-fry garlic inside a pot to create the aroma, then add the pork bellies in to fry until the they are firm. Add shallot, caramel sauce, 2 tbsp fish sauce, and ½ tsp sugar.

Braising

When the mixture is boiling, pour coconut milk into the pot. Add the cut egg halves in with some chilis. Simmer for a while.

Serve
